Pudu Jail... No More...

Yeap.. What I mean is the iconic 115-years old Pudu Jail located beside Berjaya Times Square Kuala Lumpur... Authorities already started to torn down the jail since two days ago... I am quite disappointed after I heard the news of these :

"The government has studied the matter and decided that the site is not a heritage site and will not be made a heritage site". "The government is of the opinion that it is not something we can be proud of, there may be many (other) things we can be proud of compared with a jail".

Besides that, the government decided to develop the site with hotels and apartments... zzzz... =.=

I wonder why the government did not convert it to a Museum... It has a heritage values and it has over 100 years... When I was a kid, my grandpa and dad always telling me about the Pudu Jail and some history behind of it... However it is very sad to see that Pudu Jail is in demolition process... Some of the peoples picked up some of the fallen bricks to bring back as a souvenirs... I am very sure these peoples are sad and angry, same goes to the historians... For full news (click here)..

Seriously I wonder if peoples dare to stay at the newly-built hotels or apartments that being constructed on a place with hundreds of executions done before as everyone believe that Pudu Jail is haunted...@@
