2010 FIFA World Cup...

Its ONLY about 24 hours before the opening ceremony of the World's Biggest tournament, The World Cup 2010 and it held once in every four years, this time in South Africa... Now I need a TV so much to watch my favorite match at home instead of just watching the live score online... =(


Before the World Cup (WC) starts, I would like to share some informations with you all about the World Cup... There was once when one of my female friend told me, "Football? Hm... I feel very stupid lor... Over 20 peoples run and chase for a ball... " lolx... I know most of the girls will find football very boring and some do hate it so much too when their boyfriend started to ignore them to go pubs or mamaks stall to watch football... However some of the girls like to watch leng zai football seriously... =p 


Some of you might wondering why all the teams in the World Cup are fighting so hard to get this trophy...

The trophy is 36.5 cm tall and is made of 5 kilograms of 18 carat which is 75% solid gold with a base of 13 cm. It is designed by an Italian artist named Silvio Gazzaniga... For very first time, this trophy was presented at the 1974 FIFA World Cup to German Captain Franz Beckenbauer... 


The trophy has the visible engravement "FIFA World Cup" in outpouring letters at its base. The name of the country whose national team wins each tournament is engraved in the bottom side of the trophy, and therefore is not visible when the trophy is standing upright. The text states the year in figures and the name of winning nation in English, for example... "1994 Brazil". However, FIFA's regulations now state that the trophy, the winners of the tournament receive a replica which is gold plated rather than solid gold...for security purpose I guess...
